Honeydrum will be playing some funky grooves on Saturday 8th march for this 5 a side fundraising event for Team Efficient at Soccer City (next to elland road). Come and help the Children of Durban in South Africa , these children really do need your help. See you there, Phen~*.

This group have a new approach and want to share and teach there music with others. Listen to Monoblocos Philosphy .
Honeydrum will be hosting a series of monthly workshops to learn the material of monobloco. These workshops will create a northern bloco “Bloco Brigantes” who will perform Live with Monobloco on 16th July 2008 in Leeds.
The workshops will be led by JP (musical director) of Toque Tambor who works closely with Monobloco. JP is a great teacher and performer with an amazing insight into Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Cuban Music.

DAY OF DANCE Saltaire 10th May 2008
What a fantastic day out for dancers, over 50 dance workshops from styles all around the world. The day starts at 9am and finishes around 11.30pm. Bring your friends bring your kids bring yur mum. Honeydrum will be playing live beats for The Dance of the Gods Workshop in collaboration with Alicja and One Collective Dance Troupe at 3pm til 5.30pm. Then later come and join us for a full on Carnival “After Party” with our 16 piece percussion group and singers playing rhythms and songs from Africa, Cuba and Brasil.
WATH FOLK FESTIVAL 2008 May 3rd
Honeydrum will be leading several parades, playing a couple of short performances and hosting a Drumming Workshop this year at the Wath Folk Festival. A great day out for all with some top performances by world class artists. Wath-Upon-Dearne keeping Folk Alive.
Sunday Walk at Yorkshire Dales
Honeydrum members and friends had a wonderful day yesterday. We went for a nice long walk in Yorkshire Dales. That was the best possible way to end such a wicked weekend! Thank you guys and Mother Nature for letting me to practice photography skills. You are all here
Honeydrum at Raise the Roof Winter Festival
The night kicked off with an opening ceremony performed by Honeydrum. We started in Cuban style playing rhythms including candomble, bembe, makuta, congo and barravento. One Collective, dancers led by Alicia, accompanied the music, involving the crowd and getting everyone into the party mood.
